554,167. Supporting and sealing tubes in partitions. BRISTOL AEROPLANE CO., Ltd., MOORE, R. H., TRIST & CO., Ltd., R., and ROBBINS, R. A. Dec. 19, 1941, No. 16440. [Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] Tubes are supported in partitions in air or marine craft &c. by a longitudinally split or divided sleeve 12 extending through the partition 10, and resilient flange-like members 15 threaded over the ends of the sleeve and engaging the partition. Grooves 14 may be provided in the sleeve to receive the members 15, and may be so arranged that the sleeve is inclined at an angle to the partition other than a right angle. The sleeve 12 may be of hard rubber, reinforced with fabric if desired, and the members 15 may comprise rubber washers tapered radially with a flat side to engage the partition.
