[Class 61 (ii)] A cam clamping device comprises a cam 1 with operating lever 8 and centre pin 3 carried by a swinging lever 4 or guided in a slot, the cam having two opposite cam or eccentric faces 1<SP>1</SP>, 1<SP>11</SP> bearing respectively on the work or movable gripping jaw 7 and on a fixed abutment 6; the edges of the cam may be of V-section engaging corresponding recesses in the co-operating parts.
