Abstract
553,548. Draw benches. T. I. (GROUP SERVICES), Ltd., and EVANS, D. W. T. Nov. 21, 1941, No. 15027. [Class 83 (iv)] Draw bench grippers, of the kind having sliding jaws for gripping the end of the work or of a pulley pin d attached thereto, have a bell mouthed guide q for the pin screwed into an annular holder p in a plate m mounted by spacers n on the rear of the carriage a. The jaws c are threaded at l to engage the threaded part h of the pin. The parts p; q are mounted with play in the plate m so that if the jaws c stick they may be released by a blow on the part q.
