Abstract
553,074. Looms with automatic weft replenishment. MASCHINENFABRIK RUTI VOR . C. HONEGGER AKT.-GES. Nov. 13, 1941, No. 14631. Convention date, Feb. 3. Addition to 546,143. [Class 142 (iii)] In a loom having mechanism as claimed in the parent Specification for continuously rewinding small cops from a large supply and leading the cops one after another into the shuttle, the thread waste c of a used cop is ejected from the shuttle by air pressure into a suction device o and thereafter the threading end i of the new cop e is released from its holding device k and is sucked into the device o. The end i held by. the device o is cut off by the cutter b at the fabric selvedge and is taken away completely by the device o. The device o may have an arm n so disposed with respect to the reservoir for the new cops that its suction ensures that the threading ends i are correctly positioned for reception by the gripping device k.
