[Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group X] A mould of the kind described in Specification 140,284, [ Class 87 (ii)], comprises end members 1 of inverted U-form joined by bars or tubes 2 on which are pivoted links 11 carrying the side walls 10 of the mould. The members 1 are divided into parts 4, 5, having bolt holes 6, whereby the width of the mould can be adjusted; the parts 4, 5 may have co-operating rib-andgroove elements for guiding purposes. An end plate 24 has feet 26 which are received in channels 9 in a member 1. Intermediate partitions 39 have spring pins 28, or crankoperated pins, received in holes in the plates 10. Arms 17, pivotally mounted at 17a on the members 1 have feet 18 which rest on a completed section of wall and support the mould; for levelling the mould, the pivots 17a may be carried in rotatable eccentric bearings. After casting, the walls 10 are pivoted upwardly and outwardly by means of handles 14 (or by means of extensions of the links 11), whereby the arms 17 are forced outwardly, against the resistance of springs 19, and the feet 18 are moved clear of the moulded material (concrete). The walls 10 have secured thereto guide-plates 16, which embrace the legs of the members 1, and stops 13 which rest on the bars &c. 2. To build an inclined or tapering wall, the upper bar 2 constituting the pivot of the upper links 11 may be adjustable in slots 32 in the members 1. The mould may include inclined partitions adjustably connected to partitions similar to 39. In making two walls at right angles to each other, an adjustable corner-piece may have hooks engaging holes in the side walls 10. The mould may be the height of a 6-foot wall, which may be cast in sections, the mould being mounted on a wheeled or endless track vehicle and the movement of the side plates 10 being effected by racks and gears, levers, hydraulic means, compressed air &c.
