549,357. Collapsable boxes and cases. DAY, F. C. R. March 17, 1941, No. 3631. [Class 18] A collapsablebox or case, e.g. for ammunition, having separate end, side and bottom parts has the bottom secured by engaging its perimeter in grooves 5, 6 of end pieces 4, the sides 2 being secured by engagement of grooves 7 and projections 12 thereon with projections 8 and grooves 10 on the ends 4. A lid 16 with pin and pintle fastening 18, 19 and carrying handles 15 are provided. Extra pins and pintles are provided for holding the case compactly in collapsed state. Ends of fixed size with the other walls of various standard sizes may be used. The construction may also be in metal.
