548,835. Wheeled skates. HOCKIN, F. W. May 5, 1941, No. 5848. [Class 132 (i)] A wheeled skate device comprises a leg bar adapted to be secured to the leg below the knee, a foot rest on the lower end of said leg bar, and a single road wheel mounted in a fork member adapted to occupy either an operative, lowered position, or an inoperative raised position on the leg bar. The bar 9, adapted to be strapped to the leg, has at its lower end a foot rest 13, and carries on the other side a fork 6 fixable in upper or lower positions by means of spring trigger 25 and carrying the solid-tyred wheel 1, which, because of a ratchet and pinion, can only rotate in the forward direction. A rearwardly-extending spur 20 serves as a brake. With the fork and wheel in upper position, the user can walk while still wearing the skate.
