Abstract

547,433. Air screw spinner, made of synthetic resin. COVERLEY, R. H., and BROWN, D. W. Feb. 25, 1941, No.2577. [Class 2 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXIII] The shell 10 of an airscrew spinner is made of reinforced plastic material and is moulded in one piece with means on its inner surface for securing flanged or like members to it. The material may be synthetic resin rein forced with laminated fabric, felt, paper, or flaked scraps of fabric, and the securing means may comprise spaced bosses 13. A flanged ring 14 secured to the bosses 13 engages the front-support plate 18 of the hub, whilst a second ring 21, secured to the shell by means of similar bosses or by screws passing through the shell, is locked by bosses 20 to the rear support plate 19. The parts 12, 14, 18, 19, 21 also may be made of reinforced plastic material.
