Abstract
545,759. Reinforced-concrete structures. JUSTICZ, A. March 21, 1941, No. 5847/42. Divided out of 548,048. [Class 20 (iv)] Reinforced concrete uprights a are formed at their upper ends with inclined flanges b the ends of which are stepped at b<SP>4</SP> to engage reversely stepped ends on a transverse beam h, affording flush joints. Positioning may be facilitated by the provision of a V-groove in the adjoining surfaces. The ends of the beam are thickened relatively. to the parts adjoining each end. The beam-ends are secured to the steps b<SP>4</SP> by bolts grouted into conical recesses.
