Abstract

544,987. Contacts. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., McLOUGHLIN, H. F., and HILL, W. E. Dec. 20, 1940, No. 17934.. [Class 38 (v)] A bridging contact e floatably held on the end of an actuating plunger or push button g is adapted to engage one of two pairs of fixed contacts c c'. The contact e is loosely mounted on a slotted strip f which carries two plates k sliding on it with a spring l compressed between them. One abuts against a pin o while the other bears against shoulders n and has a central rib passing through the slot f in the strip. The casing comprises upstanding ribs b separating the fixed contacts, and a cover, secured by screws has depending ribs adapted to fill the spaces between the ribs b and the contacts c to hold them in position.
