Abstract

544,250. Valve amplifying circuits. TELE. PHONE MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and PADDLE, L. H. April 23, 1941, No. 8763/40. [Class 40 (v)] In a negative feedback amplifier the feedback path includes an input inductance and an output inductance with capacity coupling there between and a potentiometer connected between the high potential ends of the inductances so that the part of the feedback that will pass through the network will depend on the potentiometer setting so as to provide a variable frequency characteristic to the amplifier. Fig. 2 shows a four terminal network 9, 10, 11 shunted by potentiometer 14 to control the proportion of the feedback voltage traversing the network. The potentiometer may be controlled manually or by a pilot signal.
