[Class 18] A cylindrical powder container 1 carries inlet and egress tubes 2, 4 arranged on opposite sides of the diameter of the container parallel to the axis of the outlet tube. A non-return valve 3 prevents entry of powder into the pump when this is of piston type and outlet tube 4 is blocked at its inner end. If this pump has a union adapted to attach a tubular member at an angle to the pump axis, the container has the outlet tube parallel to the pump axis. If the inlet and outlet tubes at the points where they enter the container are not parallel the inclination does not exceed 90 degrees. The tubes may be substantially tangential, a strainer may be provided in the outlet, and a filler tube may be provided such that the container is not filled above the level of the outlet tube.
