[Class 53] In a portable battery lamp of the kind having a spring contact strip in the lid of the battery casing in permanent connection with the lamp and adapted, when the lid is closed, to make contact with the battery terminal, the spring strip b and terminal c are so shaped as to make live contact between them. The spring may be of U or V shape, and the terminal may be flat or rounded.
