Abstract

537,727. Centrifugal pumps. COVENTRY CLIMAX ENGINES, Ltd., HATHAWAY, L., and WOODISSE, J. T. April 3, 1940, No. 5966. [Class 110 (i)] A closed type impeller is formed of at least two main parts united wholly or mainly in a plane transverse to the impeller axis. In the form shown in Fig. 2, one part consists of a casting comprising a disc 12 carrying the blades 11, hub 14, eye 13 and shaft, while the other part consists of an annular disc 15 united to 12 by bolts 16. In another form each disc carries part of the blades.
