[Also in Group XXVI] The inlet portion of the rotor blading of a centrifugal compressor or blower is attached to the rotor hub 4 by a blade supporting ring 5 provided with concentric circular undercut grooves 10<SP>1</SP> and projections 11<SP>1</SP> which engage with corresponding projections and grooves in the hub 4. The inlet portion is made by soldering the inlet blades 6 into slots 9 in a hub 1 which is subsequently machined to provide the grooves 10<SP>1</SP> and projections 11<SP>1</SP>.
