Abstract
533,680. Push-pull resonant circuit for energy transfer. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Nov. 13, 1939, No. 29985. Convention date, Nov. 12, 1938. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] An arrangement for transferring energy by means of a push-pull circuit to a single-ended circuit 23, 25, Fig. 1, comprises a double-ended tuned anode circuit formed by three parallel conductors 16, 17, 18 connected together at one end 19 and fed from the other end by valves 11, 12 in push-pull, a coupling 26, 27 between one conductor 25 of the single-ended circuit and the connected end 19 of the conductors of the resonant circuit, and connections of equal length and surge impedance between the other conductor 23 of the single-ended circuit and plates 21, 22 capacity coupled with the outer conductors of the resonant circuit at points where the voltages are substantially equal and in phase. The length of the resonant circuit is an odd multiple of one quarter wave length. As indicated at AA, Fig. 2, the actual length is a little less than three-quarters of a wave length to allow for lumped capacities at the end.
