Abstract

531,527. Disc brakes. ARGUS MOTOREN GES. July 25, 1939, No. 21646. Convention date, Aug. 2, 1938. [Class 103 (i)] The axially movable discs 1, 1<SP>1</SP> of a disc brake are operated by an inflatable member 2, within which is disposed a body 3 of metal, synthetic resin &c. The body 3 gives support to the discs. The member 2 is made of synthetic rubber which is not attacked by oil or other solvents used as the operating liquid. Release springs 5 extend through apertures in the discs and the members 2, 3 and are attached to discs 6, 7 which bear on flanges on the discs 1, 1<SP>1</SP>, a tubular part 9 being secured to the disc 7. Each disc 1, 1<SP>1</SP> may be divided along the circular medium line upon which the apertures for the separate springs lie, so that each disc comprises two concentric parts.
