[Class 82 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXXV and XXXIV] A coating 20 of conducting material is formed on the inner periphery of the rotor rings of an electromagnetic clutch or eddy current brake by spraying copper on to the surface followed by silver solder, rotation being effected whilst hot to cause the solder to penetrate the iron. In another modification, there may be a layer of magnetic material outside the copper.
