[Class 49] For preserving meat there is injected into it a solution of common salt containing saltpetre, the meat is then wrapped in a narrowly meshed fabric or cloth and placed in a centrifuge to effect the expulsion of excess solution, and the centrifuged meat is subjected directly to a smoking process. Solution expelled by the centrifuging treatment is collected for re-use.
