[Class 141] A glove comprises fourchette strips which extend from the bases and over the tips of certain of the finger portions, the fourchette strips narrowing in width towards the finger tips, and being joined together at the bases of the finger portions at such an angle as to form inclined crotches. The glove, Fig. 7, comprises an outer thumb portion 19, Fig. 2, a member 24, Fig. 3, forming the inner thumb portion 25 and a fourchette 26 for the index finger, fourchettes 30, 31, Fig. 5, for the intermediate fingers, and a member 27, Fig. 4, which forms a fourchette 29 for the little finger and extends to the cuff of the glove. The back and palm portions together with the finger portions are formed from a single blank of material. In a modification, the back and palm portions are formed separately, and the outer thumb portion extends to the cuff of the glove. In a further modification, Fig. 14, the fourchettes are each formed from separate strips which are connected together by seams 67 at the ends of the finger portions. In another modification, the parts of each fourchette are seamed together at the end of a finger portion in overlapping relationship. In a further modification, each fourchette comprises a substantially L-shaped member which is folded at the angle corresponding to the position of a finger crotch. In another modification, the fourchette strip for the index finger extends behind the thumb portion to the cuff of the glove. In a still further modification, the outer portion of the thumb is formed integrally with the palm or back portion or with both portions, or part integrally with the palm portion, and the remaining part with the back portion.
