[Class 115] A ships' lifeboat release tackle as described in Specification 522,422, is constructed with guides such as bollards V, Fig. 1, or curved guides W, Fig. 1, and w, v, Fig. 6, on the fixed side of the block, and above the sheave C, or hook &c. means for engaging the fall to keep the lower end of the double or single fall D from coming out of parallelism, on the respective side, with the longitudinal plane of the block.
