518,122. Heating vehicles. SLEIGH, H. L., CHESTON, A. S., and BRINKWORTH, H. A. June 21, 1939, No. 18956/38. [Classes 20 (iii) and 137] An air heater for motor vehicles comprises a primary radiator unit 11 and a secondary radiator unit 12 which surrounds a fan 24 drawing air over the primary unit and forcing it through the secondary unit into the vehicle. The units are separated by a partition carrying a filter 27. Part of the heated air is led off to a nozzle directing a jet of air over the windscreen. An electric heating element may be used to heat the fluid in the radiators at starting up. Specification 492,287 is referred to.
