516,165. Reinforced concrete. TRIAS AKT.- GES. Dec. 19; 1938; No. 36892. Convention date, Dec.-21, 1937. [Class 20 (iv)] A reinforcement for concrete comprises atleast two bars 2, 2a which contact with' each other along at least one helical face. The reinforcement may be made by placing two semi-circular bars face to face to form a cylinder, and then twisting the cylinder about its axis. The bars 5, 5a may be offset from one another as in Fig. 3, or may. be symmetrically disposed but of different cross - sectional dimensions. The surfaces 10, 10a, Fig. 5, adjacent the meeting face 1 may be parallel planes. Fig. 6 shows a reinforcement consisting of three bars 20, 20a, 20b in which case three helical contacting faces will be formed.
