Abstract

512,271. Castor and like wheels. HUGHES, Ltd., G. H., and CRAWSHAW, A. L. May 18, 1938, No. 14795. [Classes 144 (i) and 144 (ii)] A castor or like wheel comprises a pair of discs 3 flanged to retain a rubber tyre 5a and connected by bolts 6 which also pass through a web 5c of the tyre. Metal bushes may be fitted in the holes 5d of the tyre. One of the discs may be a press-fit on the shouldered end of the hub 4, the other disc being positioned by means of a lubricating-nipple 8 threaded into a boss 4a on the hub. The discs may have a keyed engagement with the hub.
