[Class 122 (v)] [Also in Group XXIX] In a hot-water geyser, the valve stem 5 which connects the valve 6 regulating the water supply to the valve controlling. the gas supply, is provided with a packing substitute of the flexible sleeve type 7 which is spaced from the valve stem by a series of short hollow cylinders 10. In a modification, the pressure is applied to the interior of the flexible tubes, the reinforcing cylinders lying on the outside.
