[Class 64 (iii)] Stainless stool &c. heat-exchange plates are provided with rubber &c. packing strips 16 secured in position by turning over the edges of the plates. In a modification, the strips are secured by spaced or-continuous members 26, Fig. 2, weided &c. to the plates. Packing strips may be applied to the opposite faces of alternate plates, intermediate plates being plane.
