Abstract

505,419. Roller-driving gear for ring spinning-machines GESSNER AKT.-GES., E. Dec. 1, 1938, No. 35057. Convention date, Feb. 23. [Class 120 (ii)] In order to maintain the direction of rotation of the rollers in ring spinning machines when the direction of rotation of the spindle-driving shaft is changed, the front roller shaft is operated through ratchet gears 20, 21 connected to pinions 17, 18, which are respectively driven from a shaft 13 by a pinion 14 and pinions 15, 19. The machine is driven by a reversible electromotor which is coupled to the spindle-driving shaft and drives the shaft 13 by a chain and sprocket wheel 10. The arrangement prevents inadvertent loosening of the screw couplings of the rollers which may occur during the usual changing of gears.
