Abstract

504,012. Cartons for milk etc.; stoppers. AMERICAN CAN CO. Oct. 24, 1938, No. 30734. Convention date, Dec. 11, 1937. [Classes 66 and 125 (iii)] The pouring aperture 22 of a waxed fibre container for milk &c. of the kind described in Specification 470,098, is provided with a friction plug closure 29 of substantially triangular shape formed in a member 23 attached at 28 to the end 21 and comprising a part 27 which is bent around the corner of the container adjacent to the pouring opening. After filling, the closure is swaged outwardly at 34 to retain it in place. A hanging loop 24 is provided at the inner end of the closure member.
