503,754. Ticket - issuing machines. TENSFELDT, E. Sept. 3, 1937, No. 24123. Convention date, Sept. 5, 1936. [Class 106 (iii)] A device for issuing tickets from a strip-roll 2 perforated at intervals comprises a lever 10 having spring-controlled gripper tongues 9 which when the lever 10 is moved against the action of the spring 23 to the adjustable screwthreaded stop 20 enter slits 16 at the ends of the perforations in the strip which is then fed forward on release of the lever between curved plates 8 and 7 having respectively slits 15 and recesses 21 to accommodate the gripper tongues. The stop 20 can be moved to any one of a series of screw-threaded holes 20a in order to provide for the issue of tickets of different lengths. A brake 19 in the form of a leaf-spring having teeth 24 prevents rearward movement of the strip. At the end of the ticket issuing movement of the lever 10 the gripper tongues 9 are held against a stop 22, preferably formed by the front wall of the casing 1, so as to be retained within the slits 16 of the strip and prevent forward movement of the strip on detachment of a ticket.
