Abstract

501,417. Glazing roofs. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS, Ltd., and WILLIAMS, J. Aug. 27, 1937, No. 23487. [Class 20 (iii)] An astragal of the kind having resilient glass clamping members is provided with grooves or recesses to engage the inner edge of the .clamping bar and to press it on to the surface of the glass and towards the web of the astragal. The grooves C<2> may be formed in the web as shown in Fig. 3, or may be formed between the web and a cap C4 secured by welding or screwing as shown in Fig. 4. The grooves may be inclined with relation to the web or parallel thereto. Specification 469 887 is referred to.
