500,770. Food for animals; sugar preparations. VITAMOL, Inc. March 29, 1938, No. 9568. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1937.. [Class 5 (ii)] [Also in Group VI] A vitamin composition for addition to food for cattle and poultry is made by emulsifying a vitamin A and D concentrate in oil with sugar cane molasses under conditions that avoid churning air into the composition. The emulsification may be effected in a turbine mixer followed by a colloid mill. The particles of the concentrate become coated with sugar solution, and the vitamin A is thereby protected from oxidation.
