Abstract
500,488. Automatic control systems. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 9, 1937, No. 21901. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1936. [Class 38 (iv)] Speed.-The speed of an electric motor 3 driving a paper machine 4 and supplied by a generator 6 is controlled by a regulator 1 arranged to vary a resistance in the generator field circuit and connected across the generator, a second regulator 7 responsive to the voltage of an auxiliary generator 9, coupled to the machine 4, being arranged to operate a rheostat 10 in the circuit of regulator 1.
