499,694. Tramway tracks. CIOCCA, G. March 24, 1938, No. 9043. Convention date, March 26, 1937. [Class 104 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXI] A tramway track comprises trackways 2 for the load wheels 40 and an intermediate raised guide strip 1 adapted to be engaged with clearance at the sides by guide rollers 3 on the tram.. At curved parts of the track the strip narrows as shown at 1<1>, and at gaps where it is interrupted for crossings &c. it is tapered. The rollers may depend from a pivoted parallelogram 4, 8, 9 maintained by springs 11 in a normal, centralized position, and pivoted at 10 in a separable manner to the steering linkage 6 of the wheels 40. The rollers may be vertically adjusted, and may be mounted on shafts depending from the chassis or from the parallelogram.
