Abstract

496,765. Two-part couplings. BREEZE CORPORATION OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd., and LARKIN, J. E. N. June 21, 1937, No. 17259. [Class 38 (i)] A distributer coupling for internal -combustion engines comprises a member 10 with apertures 11 to receive the terminal ends 13 of conductors 24 and a single locking member 15 movable on the member 10 to engage flanges 14 on the terminal ends and secure them against shoulders 12 in the member 10. The member 15 may be a plate that slides on the member 10 and has apertures 18 for the terminal ends with enlargements 19 that allow the flanges 14 to pass through when the plate 15 is slid to the unlocking position allowed by the pin-and-slot connection 16, 17. When the plate 15 is in the locking position, studs 21 passing through holes in the plates 10, 15 prevent unlocking and secure them and the cover 22 to the distributer casing 20. The leads 24 are connected to spring contacts 23 in the insulating terminal ends 13.
