[Class 80 (ii)] A telescopic shaft having at its ends cardan joints 4, 5 for connection to other shaft sections is composed of relatively slidable parts 1, 2 of such section that they can only be assembled in such relation that the cardan joints are in the correct positional relation. The parts 1, 2 may be of rectangular (other than square) section or of non-equilateral triangular or rhombic section.
