493,733. Cigarette cartons &c. ALLEY, S. Sept. 8, 1937, No. 24521. [Class 18] A box &c. or a slide therefor, Figs. 1, 3, for cigarettes &c., has partitioning or strutting means 4, 4a; 7, 8 serving to divide the container or slide into two or more longitudinal compartments, each less in width than the length of the cigarettes &c., the partitioning &c. being formed from the material of the walls 5, 6, or from the wall 5 only, Fig. 3, by partially slitting out pieces which are bent inwardly in opposite rotational directions to interengage in reciprocally supporting relation when the formation of the box &c., or slide, is completed. The interengaging wall pieces may be interlocked by coacting projections and depressions therein, or secured together by staples, adhesive, &c.
