Abstract

493,410. Boxes. ROBINSON, E. Dec. 17,1937, No. 34983. [Class 18] In a folding cardboard box having a hinged closure flap 21 carrying along the edge opposite to the hinged edge a tuck-in flap 22 to be received behind the free edge of an adjacent wall 11 of the box, the tuck-in flap has a slot 24 and part of the free edge of the wall 11 is cut back to form a tab 23 to enter the slot 24 from the outside of the tuck-in flap as the latter is inserted behind the wall 11 in the act of closing the box. Instead of the tab 23, the " anchor " tab 26 may be used. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, both tabs are used, but the tab 26 therein may be replaced by a tab 23. The tuck-in flap may comprise a plurality of tabs and slots. U.S.A. Specification 1,963,378 is referred to.
