Abstract

An ester of an hydroxy carboxylic acid is used as plasticizer in the manufacture of coating-compositions from zein and a reactive aldehyde. Fillers, dyes and the like may be added.ALSO:An ester of an hydroxy carboxylic acid is used as plasticizer in the manufacture of films, sheets or artificial fibres from zein and a reactive aldehyde. Fillers, dyes and the like may be added.ALSO:An ester of an hydroxy carboxylic acid is used as plasticizer in the manufacture of plastic products from zein and a reactive aldehyde. Fillers, dyes and the like may be added. The compositions may be used as adhesives or coatings, films or sheets, artificial fibres, moulded plastics, binders in cork compositions, or in making laminated stock, composition board, or laminated glass.
