492,330. Typewriters &c. BURROUGHS ADDING MACHINE CO. Feb. 16, 1937, No. 24484. Convention date, Feb. 17, 1936. Divided out of 492,261. Drawings to Specification. [Class 100 (iv)] Paper-supports ; sheet feeding arrangements.- In a calculating or like machine having a platen movable into and out of printing position, and paper-holding means adjustable to open-throat position when the platen is moved out of printing position, key-controlled poweractuated means is provided for moving the platen out of printing position without opening the throat, the arrangement enabling the operator to read an entry without disturbance of the sheet. When the platen is raised without opening of the throat, sheet-holding devices are automatically moved into position to prevent the sheet from falling forward. The description in the Specification is identical with part of Specification 492,261, but the claims are confined to the features set out above. Specifications 18058/07, 18320/08, 18321/08, and 18322/08, [all in Class 106], also are referred to.
