Abstract
492,172. Protective cut-out arrangements. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A GAZ. March 12, 1937, No. 7354. Convention date, March 13, 1936. [Class 38 (v)] In a distance relay having a driving couple proportional to the real, idle, or complex power, and an opposing couple proportional to the square of the main current, a current proportional to, and in phase with, the main current is passed through the voltage winding. In the Figure the latter is in two parts 2, 2<1>, with impedances 3, 4 for eliminating the couple set up by interaction between the main current in windings 1. 1<1> and the currents mutually induced by it in the voltage windings, and the superposed current is obtained from the current transformer 5 having its primary in the main circuit, but in Fig. 2 (not shown), a voltage transformer is used having its primary connected across a resistance in the main circuit.
