Abstract
490,624. Domestic ovens. FALK, STADELMANN, & CO., Ltd., and RICHARDSON, W. H. July 2, 1937, No. 18396. [Class 126] In an electrically-heated domestic cooking- oven, an oven compartment 4, formed as a separate unit detachable from the casing 1, is open at the top and is spaced from the rear of the casing so as to leave a passage 9 containing an electric heater 10, and air enters the passage through an opening 14 at the bottom, passes up through the passage and down through the oven compartment, and is discharged through an opening or openings in the back and /or sides of the compartment near its base, to a discharge duct or ducts 15 communicating with the opening or openings. In the form shown, the ducts 15 communicate directly with the compartment 4. The heating element 10 is mounted on a plate 11, and arranged in front of the element is a shield 12, which may be double-walled. In another form, the side walls of the compartment 4 have apertures near the bottom, and the rear wall 7 of the compartment 4 has no discharge opening, the ducts 15 stopping short of the rear wall 7.
