Abstract
488,880. Surgical tables. ROOJEN, J. VAN, and SCHALL & SON, Ltd. March 3, 1937, No. 6379. [Class 52 (iii)] [Also in Group XX] A table for X-ray therapy with a tube holder of the cannon type comprises a top 1 slidably carried on a rigid frame 2, 3, 4, 5 which is mounted on flanged heads 11 on uprights 6, 7, 8, 9. The uprights are mounted on an oblong base 12 near one end, said base moving on castors 15 at that end and on a turntable 16 at the other end, the turntable being mounted on rollers running on rails 21, 22. The rails are so placed that the mid-line 24 between them is the line in which the vertical plane, through which the X-ray beam sweeps on rotation of its holder, cuts the floor. The table top is slid along the frame into the desired position, or it may be fixed and provided with a detachable extension. The turntable may be locked against rotation and/or translation by a foot control 25.
