488,775. View - finders. ASKANIAWERKE AKT.-GES. VORM. CENTRALWERKSTATT DESSAU UND C. BAMBERGFRIEDENAU. Oct. 6, 1937, No. 27123. Convention date, Oct. 24, 1936. [Class 98 (i)] A view-finder with an optical system producing a real image of the field of view has an additional optical system for projecting boundary markings of variable dimensions in the image plane of the finder depending on the focal length and the focusing adjustment of the exposure objective. In the form shown, the finder objective 1, Fig. 3, projects a real image into the plane B and a reversal system 2, 3, or a reversal prism produces an upright image in the plane B<1> observed through an eye-piece 4. An additional objective 5, of short focal length, projects into the plane B an image of a stencil 6 through which light is passed to form an illuminated frame or bright angles. The objective 5 and stencil carrier are coupled by mountings 8, 9, driven by worm gearing on a shaft 12 operatively connected to the objective adjusting means or camera extension rack 13 and knob 14. The knob adjustment displaces the objective and stencil to vary the degree of magnification.
