Abstract

486,544. Crown - corks for bottles. SADLER, W. F. (Strome, O.) Dec. 21, 1936, No. 35158 /35. [Class 125 (iii)] A crown-cork for a bottle &c. is formed from a blank having a tag or tags 7, 8 extending from the outward rim thereof. The rim is formed with triangular slots 5, 6 which have parallel edges when the cap is formed in situ. The tags 7, 8 are folded back over the slots when the cap is in position and are used for opening purposes. The flange 9 may be crimped prior tothe application of the cap to the bottle.
