Abstract

483,137. Key-rings. ROOTS, C. P. Oct. 1, 1937, No. 26620. [Class 44] A key-ring a is made from flat strip metal, the flatness being in the general plane of the ring, the small gap b being closable by an arcuate member c pivoted on one limb and adap ted to engage the other. Mem ber c is formed from two strips of radial dimension substantially the same as part a, the two strips being secured together in spaced relationship by rivets d, e, rivet d serving as a pivot pin, and rivet e engaging an undercut notch f. Pin d is at such a distance from the end of member c that said member forms a T-head, when the ring is opened, to retain the keys on one limb of part a whilst another key is being added or removed. A swivel link k may be provided for attachment to a chain &c. A modification is described in which member c swings inwards, notch f being on the inside of the ring, and an integral loop is provided on part a for attachment to a chain &c.
