Abstract

479,246. Closures for collapsable tubes. YOKE. C. E. March 1, 1937, No. 6098. [Class 125 (iii)] A closure for a collapsable tube &c. of the type which opens outwardly when pressure is applied to the tube has a slidable plunger 6 mounted therein having a flange 8 which seats on the edge of the neck of the tube. A longitudinal groove 11 is provided in the plunger 6 for discharge purposes and a spring 13 returns the valve to its seating when the pressure on the tube is removed. The lower end of the spring engages in a groove 10. The device may be made to cooperate with the neck of the tube, or may be adapted as a fitment therefor.
