477,430. Vehicle bodies ; windscreens. VIGROUX, J. J. P. Dec. 24, 1936, No. 35435. Convention date, Dec. 28, 1935. [Class 108 (i)] [Also in Group X] In closed-vehicle bodies the pillars usually located at either side of the windscreen are, together with the side ports usually located in front of the rear side windows, dispensed with and the windscreen 5 is secured to the dash board 4 and to the roof quarters 1 by bolts 6 passing through holes in the windscreen the bolts being provided with resilient sleeves 7, and washers 8 to secure the bolts to brackets 9. The roof quarters 1 are supported only at the rear by the roof structure 2. The door panels 13 have no framing except preferably a resilient channel beading 14, 15 and are adapted to bear against the rear face of the windscreen 5 and against the quarter panels 12. The windscreen has no framing but preferably is provided with a glass channel beading.
