[Class 38 (v)] [Also in Groups XX and XL] A switch 177 for use with X-ray apparatus comprises. an insulated pusher rod 182 carrying a conductive cylinder 183 arranged to connect together the contacts 176 and 178 or contacts 176 and 180. Actuation of the rod is effected through accordion-like expansion and compression devices 184 and 185, the switch being housed inside the X-ray casing 10 which is filled with insulating oil.
