Abstract

A celery salt preparation is obtained by subjecting oil of celery and mono-sodium glutamate to minute subdivision, e.g. in a hammer mill, to bring them into intimate physical relationship and then mixing with sodium chloride. The sodium chloride should be finely granular. The proportions by weight may be celery oil 0,1 to 1 per cent, mono-sodium glutamate 2-6 per cent and the remainder sodium chloride.
