Abstract
471,400. Fourdrinier paper-making machines. POLLAK, J. E. (Beloit Iron Works) Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30559. [Class 96] The wire-cloth 10 of a Fourdrinier paper-making machine is supported as disclosed in Specification 471,001, and the hydraulic pressure urging the rolls 12 upwardly in their supports is varied in accordance with variations in the load carried by them, including that due to suction on the wire-cloth. Bellows 41, 74, 40 communicate respectively with divisions 19, 20 of the suction box 11, and with the bottom of the pond of pulp in the breast box, and are connected by links and levers as shown, with reducing valves 37, 72 in pipes supplying water to the table-roll bearings 13, the links &c. being adjusted initially by varying the tensions of springs 57, 84 by knurled nuts 59, 87.
